Position Title: Tire Technician

General Purpose

M.L. Chartier, a family owned and operated excavating company with 73+ years of success in the construction industry is looking to hire a full-time, year-round Tire Technician for our Fair Haven headquarters. This position will give you the opportunity to be a part of our exceptional team.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

• Full time tire technician that will maintain a large fleet of trucks and equipment on an emergency and daily maintenance routine.
• Work throughout the week will be split between 3 shop locations as well as covering road calls / emergency's.
• Replace commercial tires using hand tools and machinery assisted.
• Emergency Road Calls
• Conduct and manage Preventative Maintenance schedule on a larger fleet of commercial trucks.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Be willing to work long hours as a team or individual
• Must have experience changing heavy truck tires
• Roadside heavy vehicle tire repair experience preferred
• Brand new stocked roadside tire service truck, must maintain clean driving record and chauffer license
• Will be responsible for maintaining a large fleet of state of the art trucks and equipment.
• You will be required to keep your equipment and shop clean and orderly.
